Does your organization think in promises?

Or, do you hold people accountable?

When we use promises, it is very reflective. Few people will promise something they cannot deliver. This leads me to a bigger question. When contemplating HR’s role in developing and sustaining a Lean Enterprise, what does HR promise the rest of the organization?

After asking that, what types of things go across your mind? What is the real challenge for you?

Promise of HR

I always have liked the term of “Promises.” I think it is more of bottom-up versus a top-down way of thinking. I learned the term and did podcasts with Alan Mossman (Lean Construction) and later had it expanded by Jeff Sussna (Designing Delivery) and  Mark Burgess (Thinking in Promises).
