Cisco’s Teamwork and Collaboration

Some of Cisco’s best practices were studied by NASA and here are a few of the recommendations that they made:

  1. Institutionalize collaboration with measurable collaboration criteria.
  2. Teamwork and collaboration should be part of the incentive plan for employee and executives.
  3. Technology enhancements like desktop and video conferencing and web-based tools to support collaboration.
  4. Policy changes for increased and flexible travel budgeting to support the growing importance of collaboration such as travel for lower level management and greater mobility opportunity for project management.
