The Community Resource Fair will be held on Wednesday, June 17 and will run from 12:00p.m to 6:00p.m at the Four County Vocational Cooperative, 1601 East Dowling St., Kendallville, IN 46755.
I have the pleasure of following John Steinbach a registered representative with New York Life Insurance Company. John has over 20 years experience as an organizational consultant and corporate trainer with clients that include numerous Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and non-profits.
The purpose of the fair is to provide Noble County families and individuals struggling with today’s tough economic challenges access to the education providers and social agency resources that may be available to help meet their day-to-day challenges and also to explore lifelong learning opportunities. John puts on great presentations, I feel like I received the time slot behind American Idol!
Other information sessions will be held throughout the day, including; Financial Aid, Talk It Out, Writing a Resume, Job Searching, Blueprint for Success, Becoming Employable, Interview Techniques and What’s Age Got to Do With It?.
The fair is sponsored by ICAN (Intercollegiate Adult Network). ICAN’s mission is to encourage, support and help adults acquire the knowledge and skills to succeed in their educational efforts. ICAN’s goal is to offer Adult College Fairs in Northeastern Indiana so that individuals can obtain the information necessary to make informed educational decisions. ICAN is comprised of the following education providers; Brown Mackie College, Freedom Academy, Harrison College, Huntington University, IPFW, Indiana Tech, Indiana Wesleyan University, International Business College, ITT Technical Institute, Ivy Tech Community College and Trine University.
