We discussed Embarq’s business process improvement initiatives and how they differed from other companies Lean Six Sigma initiatives. Particular attention was paid to the relevancy of Lean, Six Sigma and business process improvement in a down economy.

Prior to joining EMBARQ, Ertel held a number of leadership roles at General Electric, most recently leading Six Sigma initiatives as Master Black Belt in GE Insurance Solutions. Ertel holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hanover College and a Masters of Business Administration from Regis University.
