Getting Things Done for Teens: Take Control of Your Life in a Distracting World
This new book, Getting Things Done for Teens offers a fresh take on the GTD methodology, framing life as a game to play and GTD as the game pieces and strategies to play your most effective game. It presents GTD in a highly visual way and frames the methodology as not only as a system for being productive in school but as a set of tools for everyday life. It is described as a how-to manual for the next generation–a strategic guidebook for creating the conditions for a fruitful and effective future.
About: Mike Williams was president and CEO of the David Allen Company from 2011 to 2016, is on the board of directors for the Association for Talent Development and is the Getting Things Done Enterprise Architect at Zappos.com. Mike describes himself as a family man, business executive, author, speaker, and executive coach – who happens to ride an electronic skateboard to work for fun.
P.S. I think the book is suited for any visual learner. I was immediately drawn to is and as I say in the podcast, it was not a book that I read cover to cover, Instead, I noticed a certain graphics and read around it (pages before and after). As a result, I ended up reading all the book and certain parts several times. If you really want to give it to your teenager, I would buy two, one for yourself.
