90-Day Lean Service Design Program (Exploration)

This is an A3/Canvas outline I have used for introducing a Service Design project with a Lean umbrella. It depicts the online/offline program that is conducted over 90-days. Typically, I would recommend several more follow up session after the initial period as we take the selected prototype through PDCA and eventually SDCA.

A common misinterpretation is the SALES acronym at the top. It actually stands for

  • Sensemaking
  • Analyze
  • Locate
  • Empower
  • Select

After we complete the 90-day program or the Exploration step, we would choose one of the 3 prototypes and use PDCA as a method of confirmation before eventually standardizing the work (SDCA). More information can be found in the sidebar in the Lean Service Design Program.
